Payton delivers Assessment, Counselling and Behaviour Support services. Her work days are Tuesday to Friday.
Payton is a warm and compassionate registered psychologist. She holds a masters degree in psychology and has a range of experience with clients of all ages. Payton places emphasis on creating a non-judgmental and collaborative space where clients feel comfortable sharing their concerns and can work together on a personalised treatment plan. Payton is helpful to those seeking assistance with managing stress, coping with anxiety or depression, disordered eating, psychosis, interpersonal difficulties or improving their overall wellbeing.
Working within the NDIS and out of home care sector, Payton is experienced in supporting those with a disability and a history of trauma to foster positive changes in their lives and to upskill their support network to meet their needs. Payton practices from a neurodiversity affirming framework and advocates to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health issues.
Payton draws on a range of evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), play therapy, relaxation strategies and various skills training.
Outside of work, Payton loves spending time outdoors, at the gym and with her family and friends. She has two dogs named Lego and Duplo.
