Nicholas Chizzoni

Clinical Psychology Registrar

Nick is an experienced Clinical Psychology Registrar with over eight years in the mental health field, including seven years as a registered psychologist working in rural and remote communities across Australia. He holds a Master of Clinical Psychology and is deeply committed to delivering high quality and equitable psychological intervention and assessment regardless of geographic location.

Holding a clinical interest in trauma-focused therapy, Nicholas integrates a range of evidence-based modalities including EMDR, CBT, ACT, Schema Therapy, and Psychodynamic approaches. His therapeutic style is compassionate, client-centred, and tailored to meet the unique needs of individuals navigating complex psychological challenges. Nick is also competent in psychological assessment and regularly assess for neurodivergent presentations (Autistic and ADHD) in both child and adult populations.

Nick is passionate about improving access to mental health services in underserved areas and is dedicated to building resilient, community-based systems of care. Nick is also a Board Approved Supervisor for provisional psychologists and is passionate about supporting early career psychologists working in rural and remote locations as well as partnering with universities supporting those completing the 5+1 program.
