Donna Hobden

Behaviour Support Practitioner

Donna Hobden is a highly experienced and compassionate practitioner with more than two decades of training and professional development in family focused support, trauma support, child protection, and education. She holds a Bachelor of Social Science (Honours) from Southern Cross University and a Diploma of Professional Counselling through the Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors.

Donna’s extensive qualifications include advanced study majors in Abuse and Trauma Counselling, Relationship Counselling and Conflict Resolution, and Child Development and Effective Parenting. Across her career, she has further strengthened her expertise through specialised training in areas such as suicide and self‑harm intervention, child protection practice, and counselling adolescents.

With a professional background that spans counselling, youth work, and education support—including her Certificate III in Education Support (Teacher’s Aide, Special)—Donna brings a deeply informed, holistic understanding to every individual and family she supports. Her work is grounded in evidence‑based therapeutic approaches, strong ethical practice, and a warm, person‑centred philosophy.

Donna is passionate about helping people heal, grow, and strengthen their relationships. She is known for her empathy, her down‑to‑earth communication style, and her commitment to creating safe, respectful, and empowering therapeutic experiences for children, adolescents, adults, and families.
